Rio Mesa 22, Hueneme 14: Jordyn Auipu's 91-yard punt return In American and Canadian football a punt return is one of the punt receiving team's options to respond to a punt. A player (usually a second or third string wide receiver or running back) positioned many yards from the line of scrimmage will attempt to catch or pick up the ball  for a touchdown late in the third quarter sparked Rio Mesa of Oxnard to its first league win of the season over visiting Hueneme.

Running back Jerell Thomas' 9-yard run early in the fourth quarter gave Rio Mesa (3-5, 1-2) a 14-0 lead in a game that featured a combined 87 total yards in the first half.

Rio Mesa's Randall Holt blocked a punt midway through the fourth quarter, which was recovered by Aldo Macias in the end zone to give the Spartans a 22-0 lead.

On the following series, Hueneme (3-5, 0-3) narrowed the gap with a drive that ended with a 31-yard scoring pass from quarterback Phillip Roblies to Travaun Nixon. Robles Robles is a common surname in the Spanish language meaning oaks, and may refer to:
  • Alfonso GarcĂ­a Robles (1911-1991), Mexican diplomat and politician
  • Aurora Robles (born 1980), Mexican fashion model
  • Charlie Robles (born 1943), Puerto Rican musician
 also scored on a 14-yard run on the game's final play.

Oaks Christian 48, Grace Brethren 0: The Lions scored touchdowns on four of their first five possessions en route to a league victory over Grace Brethren of Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  (4-4, 1-2) at Moorpark College Moorpark College is a California-state funded community college located on a 134 acre (542,000 m²) property reclining on a hill in Moorpark, a town in Ventura County, California. .

Oaks Christian's quarterback Christopher Potter scored on a 7-yard touchdown run on the Lions' first possession.

Potter accounted for four touchdowns for Oaks Christian. He finished the game 6-of-11 passing for 121 yards and two touchdowns. He added four carries for 37 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Oaks Christian (5-3, 2-1) scored its final touchdown on a 39-yard interception off Grace Brethren's Kevin Ramay in the final minute.

Gibson rushed for 85 yards and scored on runs of 10, 7, and 5 yards.

The Rangers took advantage of three Eagle first-half turnovers on their way to a 21-7 halftime lead.

David Brown David Brown may refer to any of the following people:

 kicked a 47-yard field goal in the third quarter which proved to be the difference for the Rangers.

Brett Zeolla led the Eagles with two touchdowns. The first came when Zeolla scampered 81 yards to the end zone. The second came when quarterback Kyle Andrus connected with Zeolla for a 33-yard touchdown.

The Rangers defense preserved the win by recovering a fumble with fumble with vt fusmanosear  1:28 left.
