It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of , Beck is in his usual spectacular form during a set that takes in thrilling readings of the showstoppers ``Brush With the Blues'' and ``Freeway Jam,'' along with stunning covers of ``Goodbye Pork Pie Hat,'' ``People Get Ready'' and ``A Day in the Life.'' Playing in tandem with bandmates Terry Bozzio on drums and the ever-intuitive Tony Hymas on keyboards, the Grammy-nominated Beck is always in perfect control, even when it seems as if his lime green Stratocaster is about to careen into a wall. SOUNDTRACK: ``One From the Heart'' (Columbia/Legacy) - Three and one half stars Francis Ford Coppola's underappreciated romantic fantasy was recently re-released, so why not the soundtrack, which Tom Waits composed before filming began. The pairing of the gravel-throated Waits and the gorgeous Crystal Gayle seems unlikely, and that's part of its charm. Their duets possess an intimacy and emotional honesty that's almost startling star·tle v. star·tled, star·tling, star·tles v.tr. 1. To cause to make a quick involuntary movement or start. 2.
