 OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Sonic Corp. (NASDAQ: SONC) the Oklahoma City-based parent company of the drive-in restaurant operator and franchisor, announced today the shift of responsibilities of certain senior level officers and the addition of another.
 The public company has hired Lewis B. "Bucky" Kilbourne as its senior vice president and chief financial officer, reported Clifford Hudson, the company's executive vice president and chief operating officer. Kilbourne, age 46, has previously served as the chief financial officer of other pubic companies, including Church's Fried Chicken of San Antonio, Texas and Copeland Enterprises, the Popeye's Chicken franchisor located in New Orleans.
 "We're very pleased to have Bucky join our management team," said Hudson. "He brings a wealth of experience and talent to our company and will help us continue to grow at a vigorous pace."
 Kilbourne holds a doctoral degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. He is also an Air Force Viet Nam veteran. His wife and their two children will be moving to Oklahoma City from Houston where he has had an active business consulting practice for the last two years while serving as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Houston.
 The company also announced that Raymond N. Fain has been appointed president and chief executive officer of the company's service subsidiary, Sonic Service Corp. Fain, a Certified Public Accountant, has been with the company for 16 years and most recently served as vice president-finance and treasurer of Sonic Corp. In his new capacity he will be responsible for business planning, franchise financing, risk management, corporate administration, the company's restaurant equipment sales division and the company's owned real estate division.
 Additionally, the company announced that Stephen C. Vaughan has been promoted to Controller of Sonic Corp. Vaughan, a Certified Public Accountant, has been with Sonic for two years and most recently has served as assistant controller of Sonic Corp. Previously, Vaughan was with the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young.
 "With Bucky, Ray and Steve in these positions, we'll be in a much better position to meet our needs and those of our franchisees," Hudson said. "We're very pleased to have each of these officers with us and moving forward."
 The Sonic chain included 1,301 drive-ins as of Nov. 30, 125 of which were company-owned. The public company's stock is traded over NASDAQ under the symbol "SONC."
