SON PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO KILLING PAIR.

VALENCIA - A 43-year-old Valencia man accused of killing his parents two years ago in their Northern California Northern California, sometimes referred to as NorCal, is the northern portion of the U.S. state of California. Jeffrey Duvardo remained jailed without bail and is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing March 27 in Lake County Superior Court.

Yesterday, police took my wife to jail on the basis of a warrant. The warrant was for a felony account of elder abuse, where the incident is dated 1996.
 because of the ``physical assaults'' he said were involved in the slayings.

Donald Duvardo, 76, and his wife, Mary Ann, 70, were found bludgeoned and stabbed to death in their home in Nice on April 6, 1999, officials said.

A neighbor discovered the bodies after the couple had not been seen for several days, said Hopkins.

Duvardo was arrested Jan. 23 at his workplace in Long Beach by Lake County Sheriff's Department officials and is being held in the Sheriff's Department jail, officials said.
