Marcedes Lewis Marcedes Alexis Lewis (born May 19, 1984 in Los Alamitos, California) is an American football tight end who plays for the National Football League Jacksonville Jaguars. He was drafted from UCLA as the 28th pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.  and Maurice Maurice, Byzantine emperor

The tight end and running back could continue to be teammates since they were made the first two picks by Jacksonville.

"Man, that makes it that much easier because I'll know someone," Drew said. "Me and him already are close. I'll have someone I can live with or hang out with, someone who will have my back, and I can study the offense with. It makes me that much more comfortable in Jacksonville."

Lewis might have the opportunity to start right away for the Jaguars.

He was getting nervous as the draft went on. Jacksonville was the last of the five teams he visited to make their selection.

"When I narrowed it down to the teams I really bonded with, Jacksonville was right at the top," Lewis said. "I'm glad it worked out that way. I think I ended up in the right place for me."

Drew said the Jaguars talked to him about returning kicks in his first year. He brought four of 16 kick returns back for touchdowns for the Bruins last season.

They also want him to get some work at running back, where he can learn from veteran Fred Taylor Fred Taylor may refer to:

  • Fred R.
.

"I'm going to sit there and soak everything in like a sponge," Drew said. "When he retires, I can step in and take over the job."
