SOFTBALL PLAYOFFS: PARACLETE SITS ON SOFTBALL EDGE.

Paraclete, which has appeared in six section softball softball, variant of baseball played with a larger ball on a smaller field.  Paraclete was expecting a rebuilding season after penciling in just two starters in their same positions as last year.

``This team is really surprising me. That's for sure,'' Paraclete coach Margaret Neill said. ``We're just having a real good season.''

In 120 innings, Edwards has a 0.76 ERA and 224 strikeouts. She has three straight playoff-shutouts and has allowed just 40 hits on the season.
