Staff Writer It was a long day that began at the crack of dawn in Clovis, and ended 300 miles south back home in Woodland Hills at 3 a.m. with four softball games in 100-degree heat in between. But Francesca Enea could get used to days like this. For the second consecutive year, the El Camino Real El Camino Real (Spanish for The Royal Road or The King's Highway) was the name of a series of pre-automobile highways linking the various New World colonies of Spain:
Enea's team, the 18-under Batbusters, won the ASA Asa (ā`sə), in the Bible, king of Judah, son and successor of Abijah. He was a good king, zealous in his extirpation of idols. To win the national championship, the Batbusters played at 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday at Buchanan Park in Clovis. Enea, a two-time Daily News First-Team All-Area selection, went 4 for 7 with four RBI RBI abbr. The winner of the Western Regional advances to the Big League World Series in Kalamazoo, Mich., Aug. 16-21. District 51 will play at 8 p.m. tonight against the winner of Monday's game between California District 4 (Antioch) and California District 16 (Glendale).
