Today might be the most important day of the season for the top four Golden League softball teams.

Second-place Highland (8-8, 3-1) plays host to Lancaster (7-9, 3-2) and Palmdale (6-10, 3-2) travels to Littlerock (10-6, 2-2). Both games begin at 3:15 p.m.

First-place Quartz Hill (11-6, 4-1) travels to last-place Antelope Valley This article is about the Los Angeles County region. For the census-designated place in Wyoming, see Antelope Valley-Crestview, Wyoming.

``It's in our hands. If we do it, we do it and if we don't we don't,'' Meyer said. ``Somebody has to get on a winning streak Noun 1. winning streak - a streak of wins

A week ago, Quartz Hill was in a much better position, but the Rebels lost 4-3 to Palmdale last Tuesday Last Tuesday is a Christian melodic punk rock band hailing from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. They played their final show on March 10th, 2007. Last Tuesday was formed in 1999 in Harrisburg, P.A. .

--Future plans: Palmdale senior pitcher Ashley Thomas plans to walk on at Fresno State next year. Thomas is batting a league-high .378.

``Watching her now in her senior year, she's totally matured,'' Palmdale coach Deb DiMeglio said. ``We're basically riding her arm right now.

``For as much raw talent as she had, and the ability she could develop, I think it'd be a real shame if they didn't take her on the team.''

Junior catcher Rebecca Zapata said Thomas has made big improvements from last year.

``She's been good, but I think she's really progressed this year,'' Zapata said. ``I don't know Don't know (DK, DKed)

Division I softball prospects, and if there's someone who can develop them, it's former Boron standout Summer Richardson.

Richardson, one of the most dominating pitchers in region history, returned to her alma mater as a coach this year after completing her career at Cal State Northridge.

She thinks three of her players - Courtney Evans, Shauna Garcia and Kristin Garcia - could play at Division I.

``There's not many travel-ball teams around here, so I'm happy I'm able to help them,'' Richardson said. ``I think there's a couple who can play in college and hopefully I can help them get there.''
