Outlook: Boron, seeking a return to the section final, is in for a difficult afternoon. Red-hot Liberty Christian has outscored its last 13 opponents 155-9.

Boron's Jennifer Jenkins (18-4, 0.45 ERA) must out-pitch sophomore Danielle Mershon (14-2, 0.69). On Tuesday, Jenkins held Hesperia Christian to two hits, and she added a HR as the Bobcats won 15-1. Mershon shut out Capistrano Valley Christian 2-0 to put the Minutemen minutemen, in the American Revolution, colonial militiamen or armed citizens who agreed to turn out for service at a minute's notice. The term minutemen  in their first quarterfinal in the school's 27-year history.
