--Kimmie White, Burroughs: The speedy left-handed catcher is batting .469 with an on-base percentage of .486. She leads the team with 15 hits.

--Oaks Christian: The Lions of Westlake Village have won 46 consecutive games and qualified for the semifinals of the Daily News Victory Spring Classic this weekend with impressive victories over Birmingham of Lake Balboa and Royal of Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969. .

``I felt kind of bad for Westlake because I could understand what they were going through,'' Marder said. ``But it was really cool for us. ... I think teams definitely still take us pretty lightly. But we don't worry about that. For us, it always comes down to how we play defense. We had no errors against Westlake, and when we do that our offense seems to get a lot more confidence too.''

``We were joking around about it last Sunday at practice, but now that we won, he's probably going to make us run,'' Marder joked.

--West Valley: Birmingham of Lake Balboa pulled off a mild upset Thursday against Granada Hills and moved into sole possession of second place. That sets up a critical game against first-place El Camino Real El Camino Real (Spanish for The Royal Road or The King's Highway) was the name of a series of pre-automobile highways linking the various New World colonies of Spain:

DAILY NEWS VICTORY SPRING CLASSIC

The fourth annual tournament concludes Saturday at Hjelte Sports Complex in Encino. The best matchup looks to be Oaks Christian of Westlake Village against neighborhood rival Westlake in the Gold Bracket semifinals. But there are some intriguing games in all four divisions. The Silver Bracket looks especially competitive with Crescenta Valley The Crescenta Valley is a small inland valley in Los Angeles County, California. Its name derives from its crescent-like shape, with the convex portion facing roughly northeast and the concave portion southwest.  of La Crescenta taking on Royal of Simi Valley and Village Christian of Sun Valley playing Harvard-Westlake of Studio City.

The Bronze Bracket features three of the top City Section teams in El Camino Real of Woodland Hills, San Fernando and Granada Hills.

Here's the schedule:

--9 a.m.: Copper Bracket - Burroughs vs. Birmingham, Agoura vs. La Canada; Bronze Bracket - El Camino Real vs. Notre Dame, Granada Hills vs. San Fernando.

--11 a.m.: Winners of 9 a.m. games play each other, Losers of 9 a.m. games play each other.

--1:30 p.m: Silver Bracket - Village Christian vs Christian V, 1646–99, king of Denmark and Norway (1670–99), son and successor of Frederick III. His minister, Griffenfeld, who until his fall in 1676 dominated Christian's reign, made the monarchy absolute. . Harvard-Westlake, Royal vs. Crescenta Valley; Gold Bracket - Chaminade vs. Newbury Park, Westlake vs. Oaks Christian.
