SOFTBALL: SAUGUS SEEKS HIGH DESERT TITLE.Byline: Gerry Gittelson Staff Writer After a 2-3 start, Saugus High's softball team will seek to get back on track at the 11th annual High Desert Classic, which begins today t Lancaster City Park. The Centurions, who reached the Southern Section Div. I semifinals last year, have won the three-day tournament the past two seasons and are the favorite in the 16-team Division I bracket. Bolstered by the return of sluggers Victoria Kemp and Tiffany Huff, Saugus must win four in a row, starting today at 5 p.m. against Barstow (0-1). Kemp, a junior who has committed to Arizona, is batting .333 with one home run and five RBIs in 15 at-bats. She has 15 career home runs, six shy of former Canyon High star Crystl Bustos' Foothill League record. Huff, a Tennessee-bound senior, is batting .286 after hitting .460 with six home runs and 31 RBIs last season.
