That's pitcher Casey Pickard's attitude after shutting down high-powered Highland High 3-0 on Tuesday at Newhall Park, the Hart right-hander's second straight masterpiece against an honored hon·or

She held the Bulldogs, ranked No. 4 in the region by the Daily News, to just one hit, 10 days after a two-hit, 5-0 triumph over then-No. 1 Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964. ``I'm on my way. I think I've found my groove,'' said Pickard (2-0), who has committed to the University of Pittsburgh. ``I wasn't nervous. I just stayed focused.''

Pickard struck out six and walked four, and her teammates supported her with errorless defense.

``Casey hit her spots and we all worked together really well,'' said catcher Sara Dean, whose two-run, sixth-inning double broke a scoreless tie. ``We just executed well and this team has really good chemistry.''

Top-ranked Hart (5-1) rebounded from Thursday's 4-1 loss to Chaminade.

Highland (4-2) didn't help its cause with three errors in the sixth. Until that point, Pickard's counterpart counterpart n. in the law of contracts, a written paper which is one of several documents which constitute a contract, such as a written offer and a written acceptance. , right-hander Nichole Rawson, had been matching Pickard pitch for pitch. But a two-base throwing error by first-baseman Stephanie Sanchez set up Dean's decisive double up the left-field gap. Dean eventually scored the third run on shortstop Natalie Rawson's misplayed grounder.

Nichole Rawson gave up three runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk and three strikeouts. It was the first time she had given up more than two hits in five starts.

what to say,'' Highland catcher Ashlie D'Errico said. ``We've been working hard in practice. We just didn't have luck on our side. Three runs? That killed us, especially when (Pickard's) pitches were a little quicker than we've seen, and the umpire A person chosen to decide a question in a controversy that has been submitted to Arbitration but has not been resolved because the arbitrators cannot reach agreement, or one who has been chosen to be a permanent arbitrator for the duration of a collective bargaining agreement.  was giving her strikes two inches outside.''

Defending Golden League champion Highland is waiting for its bats to come alive. The Bulldogs, surviving on Rawson's pitching and what had been dependable defense, haven't totaled more than four hits in a game.

``We just didn't play smart,'' Highland coach Glenda Potts said. ``Nichole pitched great. We just didn't score runs for her. And when we did hit the ball hard, it was right at people.''
