SOFTBALL: COC GETS MOORPARK.


College of the Canyons College of the Canyons is one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the state. According to the National Junior College Research Association, College of the Canyons consistently ranks in the top 50 community colleges in the nation.  and Moorpark will meet each other in the opening round of the state junior college softball College softball is softball as played on the intercollegiate level at institutions of higher education, predominantly in the United States. College softball is played by women at the intercollegiate level, whereas college baseball is played by men.  regionals at noon Saturday at Cypress College Cypress College is a community college located in Cypress, California. Opened on September 12 1966 , the southern California college offers a variety of general education (51 associates degrees), transfer courses (58 transfer majors), and 139 vocational programs leading to .

The No. 5 Cougars and Raiders are in a four-team bracket with Cypress and Pasadena. Antelope Valley was seeded sixth and opens Southern regional play at 2 p.m. Saturday against El Camino at Palomar. The winners of the four regionals advance to the state finals May 12-14 in Fresno.
