Rio Mesa at a glance: The Spartans are 11-1-1 in their last 13 matches. Their last loss came in December against Highland, 2-0, in the Royal Tournament. A high-powered offense has helped Rio Mesa, which has nine players with a minimum of three goals. Senior striker David Cervantes has 22 goals - 62 in two seasons, which broke the school's career scoring mark of 58. Senior midfielders Ivan Medina (15 goals and 13 assists) and Austin Dillon (10 assists, three goals) are others to watch. Despite the talented offense, defense has keyed the Spartans' run. They have 10 shutouts and given up an average of just one goal a game.

Hart outlook: Junior forward Chris Ciccone is coming off one of his best matches, scoring a goal and getting two assists in a 3-1 first-round victory over Gahr. Senior midfielder Jorge Ledesma, who scored his sixth goal of the season against Gahr, is key to the Indians' offensive attack with 16 assists this seasons.
