Chance Myers made a dream come true Wednesday morning, tearing open his National Letter of Intent package, signing the documents and faxing them off to UCLA UCLA University of California at Los Angeles

``I'm definitely excited,'' said the Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964.  has pulled in a half-dozen All-Americans and five players with youth national team experience, including Myers, U.S. U-17 standout Kyle Nakazawa and U-17 pool players Michael Stephens Michael James Stephens (b. 1 November, 1967) in Auckland. He was a New Zealand cricketer who played for the Auckland Aces and the Northern Districts Knights in the 1990's and he also played for Counties-Manukau in the Hawke Cup. Nowdadys he works for St Joseph's School in Pukekohe.  and Patrick Rickards. Another national-teamer, U-18 goalkeeper Brian Perk, is expected to sign soon.

UCLA's women's class appears to be the nation's third-best, after North Carolina's and Santa Clara's, but Jillian Ellis hasn't received all the signatures yet. U.S. U-20 star Lauren Cheney, the nation's No. 1 recruit, plans to sign her letter of intent today in a ceremony at her Indianapolis high school.
