won't end in September when the JetHawks complete their California League The California League is a minor league baseball league which operates throughout the state of California. Before 2002, it was classified as a "High-A" league, indicating its status as a Class A league with the highest level of competition within that classification, and the fifth  schedule.

Major-league baseball and Cal League president Joe Gagliardi announced a three-year agreement for a fall league in four Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  cities, including Lancaster.

The California Fall League is also establishing franchises in Rancho Cucamonga Rancho Cucamonga (răn`chō k'kəmäng`gə), city (1990 pop. 101,409), San Bernardino co., S Calif. , San Bernardino San Bernardino, city, United States

Major-league baseball representatives on hand for Tuesday's Single-A California/Carolina League All-Star Game An all-star game is an exhibition game played by the best players in their sports league. The players are often chosen by a popular vote of fans of the sport and the game often occurs at the halfway point of the regular season, although this is not the case for some all-star games  said three to five players from each of the 30 big-league clubs will be assigned to the four, 28-man rosters, which will announce their team names within the next two weeks.

``It's fitting that we are here for the California/Carolina League All-Star Game. The California Fall League is an all-star game every day,'' said Roy Krasik, director of baseball operations for major-league baseball. ``The players are going to be all-stars from their respective leagues.''

The 42-game schedule tentatively kicks off on Sept. 23 and lasts six weeks until Nov. 5.

The California weather was the main attraction for the league that spent the previous two seasons in Hawaii and Maryland. Krasik said October and November baseball in Maryland was hounded by bad weather. A number of games were postponed by below freezing temperatures.

``If it doesn't work here, it can't work any place in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. ,'' Gagliardi said.
