SOARING EXHIBIT IN LANCASTER MUSEUM/GALLERY CHOCK FULL OF DISPLAYS, ACTIVITIES MARKING AVIATION ANNIVERSARY.

LANCASTER - The 100th anniversary of the first manned flight in a powered airplane will be celebrated today with activities and displays at the Lancaster Museum/Art Gallery.

Activities marking the Wright brothers' Dec. 17, 1903, flight will include demonstrations by Captain Bob's Rockets and Robots at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.; a lecture on brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright at 6 p.m. by Bob Redman; and star-gazing courtesy of the Antelope Valley This article is about the Los Angeles County region. The exhibit was made possible by grants from the Boeing Co. and the Boeing Employees Community Fund.

The museum-art gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at 44801 Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. It runs from Tunnel Station near the north limit of the City of Los Angeles, where it intersects with San Fernando Road and Foothill Boulevard, as well as Interstate 5, and continues north to Mojave, mostly paralleling .
