SOAPWATCH: Joe and Dev play rough.
Could Jailbird Joe be heading for a swift return to Strangeways? It's looking that way after he and Dev come to blows this week. Joe manages to exact revenge on Dev's cousin Naveen over the Underworld deal - this sends Dev into a rage and he confronts Joe. It's not exactly Ken Barlow versus Mike Baldwin, but as bar-room brawls go, it'll do me. The smooth talking shopkeeper is the one who ends up in casualty for a few hours - oh well Dev, think of the nurses - leaving Geena to worry over what the police will say if they find out Joe's been fighting. Dev doesn't bump into Audrey at A&E but it can only be a matter of time before she ends up there. While everyone is distracted at Joshua's christening, Richard takes Audrey's house key out of her handbag to make a copy. What's he planning?
As far as viewers are concerned, Evil Trevor's return to EastEnders this week is most welcome. Billy Mitchell might have a different view. He tracks Trevor down to give him some news from Lil' Mo - she wants a divorce. Trevor's not happy. And you know what happens when Trevor's not happy don't you? Billy soon finds out and limps back to the Square licking his wounds. Trevor quickly follows with an answer for Mo. But it's not the one she's expecting (sorry, I'm not telling you). The upshot of Billy's meddling is that Mo decides to move back to the Slater house, all of which leaves Billy with no option but to make a fool of himself in public. Again. With Mark gone, his brother Martin decides it's up to him to defend the family honour. So he challenges Phil Mitchell. Will youth triumph over the ageing skinhead?
Sad news in the village at the start of the week - Edith has passed away. Of course, if your name is Marlon or Tricia this is one cloud that could have a silver lining - or at least a cottage-shaped one. Trying their hardest to look like they're grieving, the couple also do a very good impression of appearing shocked when they find out they'll be getting Edith's cottage. But not as shocked as they will be when they realise how much Mack wants paying for the buliding work he's done on it.
The week ends in drama for Emmerdale's resident teenage parents-to-be, Andy and Katie, when she announces she is bleeding...
