NIKKI SANDERSON Nikki Ann Sanderson[1] (born 28 March 1984 in Blackpool, Lancashire) is an English actress who is best known for playing Candice Stowe in the television soap opera Coronation Street.  stole the show at last night's British Soap Awards even before the gongs were given out - by arriving in pounds 100,000 worth of jewels.

Sexy Nikki made her dazzling entrance in earrings and a heavy bauble-style necklace by top jewellers Aspreys.

And even though the gems were on loan and only hers for the night, she beamed: "I feel a million dollars in my jewels. They are fantastic."

Nikki, 21, looked fabulous after squeezing her curves into a low-cut, figure-hugging electric blue Kyri dress. She happily posed with hand on hip and a smile as wide as The Street.

Never far from her side was on-screen boyfriend DANNY YOUNG This article is about the basketball player. For other uses, see Danny Young (disambiguation).

He was walked in by young star SAM ASTON (Chesney Brown) who also wore a tux. One onlooker said: "They made a wonderful matching pair."

Nikki's Corrie co-star and rival for the Sexiest Female gong SAMIA GHADIE (Maria Sutherland) wore an emerald green Karen Millen dress, while sporting a new blonde hairstyle.

There was a huge cheer for Emmerdale's SAMMY WINWARD (Katie Williams) another babe on the Sexiest Female shortlist. The heavily pregnant star, in a black dress, was with footballer boyfriend David Dunn at the event in London hosted by comic Paul O'Grady .

She was followed by her co-star LUCY PARGETER (Chastity Dingle) who is also due to give birth next month. She wore a striking red dress and was with her partner Rudi Coleano. Also in the Emmerdale team was PATSY KENSIT (Sadie King) showing off her new, trimmer figure in a pink suit by Catherine Walker.

EastEnders' NATALIE CASSIDY (Sonia Flowler) showed off her new 34D chest in a busty bust·y

She wore a sickly bright yellow gown which showed almost all of her body. New mum CHARLIE BROOKS also wore yellow, but a flowing couture number.

However, EastEnders' KACEY AINSWORTH (Little Mo) made the biggest fashion faux-pas by turning up in the same dress as younger star AMY NUTTALL who has quit as Emmerdale's Chloe Atkinson .

EastEnders heart-throb NIGEL HARMON (Dennis Watts) was so late he was seen running behind the scenes in a tracksuit track·suit
