But perhaps Hart is tougher, too. The Indians certainly proved they belong among the elite during the first round Friday, defeating El Toro El To·ro

Sean Norton completed 13 of 16 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns, and he also ran for touchdowns of 12 and 11 yards before calling it a night early in the third quarter.

Hart (10-0-1) totaled 493 yards and never came close to a punting situation, as every player on the team got into the game.

``I think that was great for all of them to get involved,'' linebacker Brian Elledge said. ''Even the sophomore JV guys who just moved up got a chance.''

Meanwhile, Hart held El Toro to 63 yards and intercepted two passes, including a 23-yard touchdown return by Elledge to make it 35-0 at the half.

``It's going to get tougher and tougher. Ayala's a very good team,'' Herrington said, referring to the Indians' potential next opponent. ''We were a little banged up, but the good thing was we didn't let down after coming off a big win last week against our crosstown rival (Valencia).''

Hart has won 33 consecutive games. The Indians have won 13 playoff games in a row since 1997.

Norton's touchdown passes included a 63-yarder to Ryan Wolfe and a 38-yarder to Cody Kase. Hart also scored on Eric Lafferty's 1-yard run and Will Simons' 27-yard field goal.

El Toro never got closer than Hart's 35-yard line until the final play of the game, when a 15-yard completion from Ryan Whyte to Ronnie Pentz advanced the football to the Hart 23.
