revisiting his home town, a writer is disillusioned by what he sees. [Am. Lit.
 for Loyola High senior Bo Renaud at Lakewood High on Friday night.

Renaud rushed for 174 yards in 31 carries and two touchdowns to lead Loyola to a 24-17 victory over Lakewood in a Southern Section Division I first-round playoff game Noun 1. playoff game - one game in the series of games constituting a playoff

Renaud, a Lakewood native who lives down the block from Lakewood High, played on a Lakewood Pop Warner Pop Warner refers to
  • Glenn Scobey "Pop" Warner, an early 20th century American college football coach, and
  • Pop Warner Little Scholars, a non-profit organization named after the coach that offers youth American football and cheerleading & dance programs
 team that was the city's first team to go 13-0 and win the Orange Bowl championship.

The Pop Warner team played its home games at Lakewood High and was coached by Lakewood defensive line coach Danny Graham Danny Graham may refer to:

 and included several Lakewood players that Renaud faced on Friday night.

It was Renaud's first high school game against Lakewood (8-3) as well as on the visitor's side of the field. After the game, Renaud was embraced by Graham and former Pop Warner teammates and cheerleaders Notable cheerleaders

``Most of my blood, sweat and tears have been on this field,'' said Renaud, who scored on two 4-yard runs in the first half. ``I couldn't think of a better way to end the season here and get a chance to play with them. I love every one of those guys.''
