Crescenta Valley The Crescenta Valley is a small inland valley in Los Angeles County, California. Its name derives from its crescent-like shape, with the convex portion facing roughly northeast and the concave portion southwest.  High of La Crescenta sophomore Sara Sun led a group of three local swimmers who recorded the fastest qualifying times in their events at the Southern Section Div. I prelims Wednesday at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach.

Criste clocked 56.82 in the boys' 100 breaststroke, and Simpkins swam 50.68 in the 100 butterfly.

Harvard-Westlake of Studio City senior Alexa Merz was the second-fastest qualifier in the 50 and 100 freestyles, and Notre Dame Notre Dame IPA: [nɔtʁ dam] is French for Our Lady, referring to the Virgin Mary. In the United States of America, Notre Dame  of Sherman Oaks freshman Annie Stefanec qualified second in the girls' 100 backstroke and fourth in the 100 free.
