After a scoreless first half, L.A. Baptist (9-4) scored on its first possession of the second half when Alex Westmore connected with Walker on a 35-yard touchdown pass to cap a 69-yard scoring drive with 6:40 remaining in the third quarter.

After the teams exchanged possessions, Bishop (11-2) responded with a 75-yard scoring drive in six plays, the final 9 yards on a run by Justin Hopkins Hopkins, city (1990 pop. 16,534), Hennepin co., SE Minn., a suburb of Minneapolis; inc. as West Minneapolis 1893, name changed 1928. Two plays later, Westmore and Walker connected again, this time on a 79-yard touchdown pass, and L.A. Baptist regained the lead 14-7 at the end of the third quarter. Westmore was 16 of 26 for 245 yards and two touchdowns.

The game-winning drive took just more than eight minutes.
