Two cold systems are expected to hit the region and could bring snow tonight through Friday morning as low as 1,000 feet, according to a weather service advisory issued Wednesday. Santa Clarita is at an elevation of about 1,500 to 2,000 feet.

 expect winds up to 25 mph and temperatures no higher than the chilly upper-30s, with lows dipping into the mid-20s. Along with the possibility of snow, they forecast a 40 percent chance of rain showers.

The weather is expected to clear through the weekend, with highs in the 40s on Saturday, the lower 50s on Sunday and the mid-50s by Monday.
