SNCIG kicks off coal-based activated carbon project in Ningxia.On June 16th, 2007 Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group (SNCIG) started construction on the 50 000 t/a coal-based activated carbon project in Shizuishan, Ningxia. It is the first phase of the company's 250 000 t/ a coal-based activated carbon project-with a total investment of RMB RMB Right Mouse Button RMB Regional Management Board (USACE) RMB Rolf Maier Bode (musician, band) RMB Ren Min Bi (currency of People's Republic of China) 1.5 billion- is expected to be completed in 2 or 3 years. The 50 000 t/a coal-based activated carbon first-phase project has an investment of RMB376 million. It is released that the project will help to realize the recycle utilization of the resources. The project makes use of the Taixi coal in Ningxia as the raw material. Once the 250 000 t/a coal-based activated carbon project completes, over one hundred kinds of activated carbon products will be manufactured then.
