The Indo Canadian Hydro Consortium, comprising Indian company Jaiprakash Industries Ltd., the consortium leader, and a group of Canadian companies led by SNC-Lavalin, including Acres International and GE Hydro, have been awarded a contract with the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC NHPC National Horse Protection Coalition NHPC Natural Holistic Pet Care NHPC NATO Hawk Production Organization ) in New Delhi, for the turnkey construction of the Chamera II hydroelectric development in Himachal Pradesh, India. The total value of the project is approximately CDN (Content Delivery Network) A system of distributed content on a large intranet or the public Internet in which copies of content are replicated and cached throughout the network. $500 million. SNC-Lavalin's part of the contract will be approximately CDN $140 million. Financing, arranged by SNC-Lavalin Capital, will be primarily through the Canadian Export Development Corporation (EDC EDC See: Export Development Corp. ), in support of a large portion of the value of Canadian exports for the project. The site is on the Ravi River, some 30 km upstream of the completed Chamera I facility, which was also partly financed by the EDC and the Canadian International Development Agency The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) is a Canadian government agency which administers foreign aid programs in developing countries. CIDA operates in partnership with other Canadian organizations in the public and private sectors as well as other . The project calls for a 39-metre high gravity dam, four spillway spillway, n a channel or passageway through which food escapes from the occlusal surfaces of the teeth during mastication. The occlusal, developmental, and supplemental grooves, as well as the incisal, occlusal, labial, buccal, and lingual embrasures, bays with radial gates, two de-silting chambers, a 7.9-km power tunnel, a 93-metre high surge shaft, an underground powerhouse of three units with installed capacity of 300 MW, and a 3.6-km tailrace tail·race n. 1.
