SNAPin Software is Awarded a U.S. Patent for its Call Intercept Technology.

Call Intercept Technology is a Key Component in SNAPin's Award-Winning Self-Service Software

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- SNAPin Software, the leader in mobile interaction management software, today announced the company was awarded patent #7,353,016 by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its call intercept technology. The patent, titled "Call Intercept Methods, Such as for Customer Self-Support on a Mobile Device," covers among other things the call intercept feature in SNAPin's SelfService Care product, which intercepts a subscriber's call to customer care. After the call is intercepted, a personalized menu is displayed to help the subscriber solve their own problem, directly on the device.

"The award of this patent validates the innovative foundation our products are built on and represents just one of the many cutting-edge technologies our company has to offer," said Brian Roundtree, CTO and founder of SNAPin Software. "SNAPin's SelfService Care product is revolutionary for mobile devices and we are thrilled to receive a patent for this technology."

SNAPin SelfService Care delivers a powerful self service experience on the handset, providing subscribers with tools to automatically resolve common problems on their mobile phones, such as diagnosing and repairing configuration problems, making account inquiries and paying bills. SNAPin SelfService Care enables mobile operators to drive a streamlined customer care experience and in turn, improve overall customer satisfaction.

"This patent is a marker of the progress we have made during the past few years building a high-quality, innovative and industry-recognized product," said Robert Lewis, president and CEO for SNAPin Software.

SNAPin Software has call intercept and other patents pending in Canada, China, the European Patent Organization, India, Israel, Japan, South Korea and the United States.
