Instead, owner Angus Johnson said he will seek a good home for her outside Los Angeles. Peter Persic, the spokesman for the Los Angeles Department of Animal Regulation, said Johnson decided not to turn in an application for a wild animal permit and regain custody of his boa. ``We explained to him the likelihood that it would be denied,'' Persic said. Alissss, who ate Babette the Chihuahua on Saturday in West Hills, had escaped during last week's heat wave from Johnson's home down the street from the dog's owner, Flossie ``Jackie'' Torgerson. Johnson held a news conference Thursday, telling reporters he felt bad about the incident and has offered to replace Torgerson's dog. In an interview earlier in the day, Johnson said he can't afford to move right now, making it difficult for him to move out of city limits to get Alissss back.
