Located at 232 West 14th Street, between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, El Rey del Sol, a colorful hideaway in the West Village, offers a change of pace from the typical holiday party. A highlight of the event will be SMPS's toy-drive for the Toys for Tots Toys For Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which donates toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The program was founded in 1947 by Major Bill Hendricks. program, which serves needy children in our area during the holiday season. Guests are encouraged to donate unwrapped toys for the annual drive. U.S. Marines will pick up the toys and deliver them to under-privileged children. SMPS will also hold its annual raffle of gifts donated by supportive sponsors.
