Team member Katina Daleiden, 26, received the Karl Bovero Award from the Pacific Southwest College Forensics Association for the most promising community college public speaker in the Southwest.

Daleiden is the first student from Moorpark College to win the award in 12 years. She also has been selected to represent the region at an interstate oratory oratory, the art of swaying an audience by eloquent speech.
