2.0 connector, and to the LAN via either its built-in Ethernet port or its on-board 802.11g wireless capability, to provide printer placement flexibility and enhanced print performance. Its auto-fallback feature provides scalable connectivity under noisy environments to enable a larger wireless operating range, and its bi-directional communication capability keeps users informed, relaying printer messages (i.e., low ink, no paper, etc.) back to the PC if there's a problem during the print process. Configuring the SMCWPS-G is a breeze, using its easy Web-based interface and remote management capability, and it's compatible with virtually all USB printers and major networking operating systems, including Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000, XP, Macintosh, Unix and Linux.
