The Apex Data Mobile Plus(TM) PC Card modem is packaged in AirTouch Cellular-branded boxes for sale in AirTouch stores within the Los Angeles market. The co-branded "Wireless Office" kit is a one-stop solution for mobile customers.

The Wireless Office kit contains a cellular phone cable and the Apex Data Mobile Plus(TM) V.34 Data/Fax PC Card modem. In addition, the Wireless Office kit contains fax, American Online, and CompuServe software and information on AirTouch's modem pools. The complete kit will retail for $299.99.

The Mobile Plus(TM) V.34 Cellular Data/Fax PC Card modem is compatible with most notebook computers with a Type II PC card slot including IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) , Toshiba, Hewlett-Packard, Compaq, AST (AST Computer, Irvine, CA) A PC manufacturer founded in 1980 by Albert Wong, Safi Quershey and Tom Yuen (A, S and T). It offered a complete line of PCs that sold through its dealer channel. , NEC (NEC Corporation, Tokyo, www.nec.com, www.necus.com) An electronics conglomerate known in the U.S. for its monitors.
