EVER LOVIN' 'EVERWOOD': On a seasonal ``Everwood,'' the Brown men make fumbling efforts toward romance: Andy (Treat Williams) has a disastrous lunch date with itinerant shrink Gretchen Trott (Jane Krakowski), while Ephram (Gregory Smith) asks Laynie (Nora Zehetner) out. Is he trying to make Amy (Emily Van Camp) jealous, or is Amy pushing him toward Laynie to assuage her own guilt? Not that anyone else in town seems to be faring any better. Irv (John Beasley) has trouble convincing Rose (Debra Mooney) that he's still capable of lovin' after a very minor heart attack, while Harold (Tom Amandes) proves a perfect lout when his wife, Rose (Merrilyn Gann), accuses him of taking her for granted. If it all sounds terribly unromantic, don't worry - things have a way of working themselves out, on TV if not in real life.

LOVE IN THE LIMELIGHT: Whatever comes in the conclusion of ``The Bachelorette'' next week, Trista Rehn certainly knows something about the ups and downs of carrying on a romance under the watchful gaze of millions of strangers. Lifetime, the network for which Valentine's Day could have been invented, found Rehn the perfect host for its ``Celebrity Love'' edition of ``Intimate Portrait.'' The show looks at Amy Grant's rebound from Gary Chapman into the arms of Vince Gill, the marriages of Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin and Courteney Cox and David Arquette (pictured), and the most romantic Hollywood proposals.
