GARDEN 'STAKES: A lot of viewers of Home & Garden Television wish the network would come to their rescue with a renovation crew. Now its new ``Landscapers' Challenge'' series is giving fans a chance with its ``Celebrate Summer America: Win the Ultimate Backyard Makeover'' sweepstakes, running through Sept. 30. The grand-prize package is $15,000 worth of dirt, sod, plants, trees, pavement, accessories and, most important, know-how. One hundred first-place winners will get gas grills. GREAT GARBO: Turner Classic Movies programs six Greta Garbo classics today and five more June 26, wrapping up the cable network's monthlong spotlight on the enigmatic Swedish beauty. Among the best today is ``The Painted Veil,'' the 1934 screen version of the Somerset Maugham novel in which Garbo plays a woman who commits adultery but redeems herself during a cholera epidemic. Recommended on June 26 is 1939's ``Ninotchka,'' which represented a risky departure for Garbo into uncharted territory
