SMALL SCHOOLS: L.A. BAPTIST UPSETS ROSAMOND IN DIV. XII.

Marvin Fisher rushed for 154 yards on 13 carries to lead visiting L.A. Baptist of North Hills to a 33-15 upset of third-seeded Rosamond in a Southern Section Div. XII quarterfinal.

L.A. Baptist (7-3-1) advances to play Ontario Christian (10-2) in next week's semifinals.

Tyler Robertson (9 for 17 for 121 yards) threw for two first-half touchdowns to give L.A. Baptist a 12-0 lead. Fisher extended it to 19-0 with a 77-yard run early in the second half, and he had a 47-yard punt return In American and Canadian football a punt return is one of the punt receiving team's options to respond to a punt. Spencer Rodney rushed for 118 yards on 19 carries for Rosamond (9-3), and tight end Eric Leon caught four passes for 108 yards, the biggest an 80-yard scoring pass from Nicholas Gutierrez in the closing minutes.

Gutierrez completed 15 for 27 passes for 222 yards, but he was intercepted three times.

Dozie Amajoyi's cousin, Chike Amajoyi, rushed for 205 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries, and his brother, Chibe, ran for 66 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.

Mo Chock's 76-yard kickoff return for a touchdown pulled Vasquez (9-3) into a 7-7 with 4:51 left in the first quarter, but Dozie Amajoyi scored on an 80-yard touchdown run on the first play of the second quarter to give Aquinas the lead for good.

Oaks Christan scored on its first five possessions and built a 42-0 halftime lead. Tyler ran for 163 yards and five touchdowns on 10 carries.

Jummy Clausen completed 10 of 12 passes for 201 yards and a touchdown.

--Campbell Hall 65, Sage Hill 28 Zachary Kaplan threw four touchdown passes as Campbell Hall Campbell Hall can refer to:

Maxwell Garrison intercepted two passes for Campbell Hall, returning one 100 yards for a touchdown.

Kaplan completed 8 of 14 passes for 211 yards. Sam Pechin and Taylor Henry scored two touchdowns apiece.
