SMALL SCHOOL ROUNDUP: G.B. WINS IN ROUT BEHIND KACKERT RECORD.

Chad Kackert rushed for an all-time region record 493 yards and seven touchdowns as host Grace Brethren of Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  routed St, Genevieve of Panorama City 56-0 in the first round of the Div. XII playoffs Friday night at Moorpark High.

Kackert, who had touchdown runs of 52 and 70 yards in the first quarter, added scoring runs of 47, 20 and 44 in the second quarter as Grace Brethren (10-1) led 42-0 at halftime. Kackert also had three touchdown runs called back because of penalties.

Kackert appeared well on his way to breaking Ronney Jenkins Ronney Jenkins (born May 25, 1977) is an American football player from Oxnard, California. At 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, Ronney Jenkins is is a relatively small football player, but he is noted for his tremendous speed.  of Hueneme of Oxnard's single-game state record of 619 yards. But the second half was played with a running clock, which was agreed to by both coaches.

--Rosamond 26, Bell-Jeff 12: Spencer Rodney ran for 221 yards on 28 carries for Rosamond (6-5) in an upset of fourth-seeded Bell-Jeff of Burbank (9-2) at Burroughs High.

Rodney scored on runs of 4, 15 and 56 yards.

Derek Leiphardt of Bell-Jeff, who rushed for 1,106 yards during the regular season, was limited to 45 yards.

Quarterback Matt Magallon rushed for 125 yards on 15 carries, the majority coming on an 80-yard third-quarter touchdown run.

Xavier Avila had a 48-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown for Bell- Jeff, which won its first outright Santa Fe Santa Fe, city, Argentina

Brady rushed for 90 yards on 15 carries and Travis McKelvey added 63 yards on 11 carries, including a 23-yard touchdown.

Trailing 6-0, Stevens shook two tackles and ran 93 yards for a touchdown.

Edwards finished the season with 1,930 yards and 22 touchdowns on 238 carries. He helped turn around the Montclair Prep program from a 1-9 season a year ago.

Edwards had scoring runs of 4 and 20 yards but Bishop Union (8-3) sealed the victory with a 27-yard field goal with 2:45 remaining.

Marlon Gates passed for 34 yards and ran for 17 on eight carries, including a 1-yard touchdown, for Montclair Prep (7-4).

--Crespi 52, Temple City 14: Randle Harris ran for 225 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries for host Crespi of Encino.

Harris scored on runs of 35, 21 and 72 yards.

Matt Wabby was 7 of 11 for 168 yards, including a 72-yard touchdown pass to D.J. Holt.

Crespi had 490 yards total offense.

--La Canada 25, Cabrillo 7: David Hopkins rushed for two touchdowns for host La Canada (6-5).

Cabrillo of Lompoc (7-4) scored first on a 62-yard run early in the first quarter. Hopkins responded with a 19-yard run late in the first quarter.

--Oak Park 48, Yucca Valley 0: Oak Park (10-1) forced nine turnovers and held visiting Yucca Valley (4-7) to 130 yards total offense.

Matt Alexander and Gavin Ketchum had two of Oak Park's six interceptions. Ketchum caught four passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns, reaching the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the season.

Weinberger scored the game-winning touchdown on an 88-yard run with 3:04 remaining in the third quarter.
