SMALL BRUSH FIRE PUTS HILLSIDE NEIGHBORHOOD ON THE DEFENSIVE.Byline: CAROL ROCK Staff Writer SAUGUS -- A three-acre brush fire that threatened power lines near a Saugus neighborhood Tuesday afternoon had neighbors in the ridgeline ridge·line n. She was trying to tell me something, but I told her she needed to get out of the house and across the street.'' Kevin Podratz, 14, was home with his sister when he saw the smoke out a window and called his father. Cindy Wise, 34, made her son, Jacob, 7, and daughter, Avery, 3, stand near the family truck as she grabbed a safe and her computer that contained family photos. ``Thank God my husband cleared the brush near the fence,'' she said.
