SMALL BITES FOR DAD, IT'S BRUNCH TIME.

Last minute Father's Day plans should have procrastinators on the phone immediately. Tables are already full or filling up fast.

Best bets for brunch are hotels, many of which switch special day buffet meals into their big ballrooms.

But remember, buffets are better earlier. As the day wears on, buffet spreads often lose their appeal in both looks and taste.

Locally, if dad's a lobster fancier, he'll probably enjoy the champagne brunch at Delmonico's Lobster House, 16358 Ventura Blvd., Encino, which features lobster thermidor lobster ther·mi·dor
