What's up next on the Sunset Strip The Sunset Strip is the name given to the mile and a half stretch of Sunset Boulevard that passes through West Hollywood, California. QUIET OPENING: As for new dining venues in the Valley, Romanov, the eye-stopping Russian restaurant at 12229 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, was still saying via recorded message this week that it would be open in "early February" to those calling its new number: (818) 760-3177.

But it's expected to open its doors quietly by the end of this month and then have an official grand opening in April.

And Graciela, the secluded Burbank hotel at 322 Pass Ave. has new ownership, a dining lounge open to the public for dinner and a new menu.
