SLAYING VICTIM NAMED; VALLEY VILLAGE MAN FOUND SHOT IN MINIVAN.

Police have identified the 33-year-old Valley Village man shot to death early Thursday, and on Friday released a description of a vehicle his suspected killers may have used.

Alain D. Greer's body was discovered about 8 a.m. in his minivan parked in the underground garage below his apartment building, Los Angeles police said.

Investigators believe Greer was shot several times in his van early that morning or late the night before, LAPD Lt. Clay Farrell said.

A blood trail ran through the street near his building, in the 11400 block of Riverside Drive, and officers are still trying to determine how it is related to the shooting, Farrell said.

A witness reported seeing two men driving a white, late-model Toyota Camry, Farrell said. The car had an out-of-state license plate, the last three letters of which are AWK, he said.
