SKYWEST INC. CUTS RIBBON ON NEW CORPORATE OFFICES

ST. GEORGE, Utah, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- SkyWest Inc. (NASDAQ: SKYW), a holding company for SkyWest Airlines Aviation Services West and National Parks Transportation, cut the ribbon today on its new corporate headquarters building.
Located at 444 S. River Road in St. George, the 63,000-square- foot facility brings together all the company's administrative functions, including Human Resources, Operations, Maintenance, Finance, Customer Service and Marketing as well as Administrative Offices.
SkyWest Vice President of Planning Eric Christensen said the building was completely designed for SkyWest needs and departments. "The building has backup diesel generator power for flight control and the computer room, so we can continue to dispatch aircraft even with a power outage," he said. "We have plenty of room to grow within the building too," he added. "Over 140 employees are working in the building today, but we have room for 250 current size offices."
The building sits on seven acres of land. SkyWest owns an additional 14 surrounding acres which Christensen said the company will develop into a business park.
Valentiner and Crane, a Salt Lake City-based architectural firm, designed the $3.7 million facility. Bud Mahas served as the general contractor and completed the building on time and within budget.
SkyWest Airlines operates as a Delta Connection carrier under a marketing agreement with Delta Air Lines. Operating 50 aircraft, the airline completes more than 510 flights daily to 42 cities in eight western states.
