SKYWEST DELTA CONNECTION ANNOUNCES INCREASED SERVICE
TO SUN VALLEY, JACKSON HOLE AND GRAND JUNCTION
ST. GEORGE, Utah, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- SkyWest Delta Connection (NASDAQ: SKYW) has announced service upgrades to Sun Valley, Idaho, Jackson Hole, Wyo., and Grand Junction, Colo.
SkyWest will now offer a daily extra section as needed in addition to five daily roundtrips to Sun Valley. The airline will also offer 30-passenger Brasilia service on each flight. "The Brasilia will allow SkyWest to carry more passengers into and out of Sun Valley for the winter ski season than ever before," according to director of market planning Steven Hart.
Delta Connection now will also offer all-Brasilia service between Grand Junction and Salt Lake City. Beginning this month, the company will permanently deploy its newest EMB-120 Brasilia on the route. The aircraft, delivered to SkyWest this week, replaces a 19-passenger Fairchild Metroliner and means Brasilias will operate on each of the airline's five daily roundtrips.
"The roomier Brasilia allows for a flight attendant and in-flight cabin service and offers overhead and underseat storage compartments and a lavatory," says Hart. "It also dramatically improves disabled passenger access.
Previously, Delta Connection only offered Brasilia service to Grand Junction during autumn and spring months as the airplane was seasonally displaced to ski and summer markets. "The upgrade illustrates our commitment to the western Colorado market," says Hart. "We're pleased to be able to offer year-round, dedicated Brasilia service to our passengers between Salt Lake City and Grand Junction."
Brasilia service is also the latest upgrade for the Salt Lake and Jackson Hole route. Delta Connection now offers 30-passenger Brasilia service on two of its three daily roundtrips and will add another Brasilia upon its delivery March 1, 1992.
"The arrival of the third aircraft this March means year-round, dedicated Brasilia service for the market on its most popular flight," says Hart. "The upgrade demonstrates our commitment to our passengers in Jackson Hole and Salt Lake City on more than just a seasonal basis."
SkyWest Delta Connection currently operated 15 Brasilias and 35 Metroliners. The airline services 44 cities throughout the western states and completes over 500 flights daily.
