SKYWEST AIRLINES REPORTS SEPTEMBER TRAFFIC

 ST. GEORGE, Utah, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- SkyWest Delta Connection (NASDAQ: SKYW) reported continued strong traffic for the month of September 1993. The airline generated 28.0 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for the month, an increase of 11.1 percent over the same period last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 6.8 percent to 58.8 million. Passenger boardings for September totaled 140,607, a 7.5 percent increase over September 1992, boosting the airline's load factor up 1.9 percentage points to 47.6 percent.
 The results continue a two-year growth trend. "Our continued emphasis on quality customer service is leading our strong performance," said SkyWest Senior Vice President Marketing Ron Reber. "As we continue efforts to put passengers' needs first -- in terms of scheduling, pricing, service, aircraft selection, etc. -- we can continue to expect our customer base and traffic to grow."
 SkyWest Airlines operates as a Delta Connection carrier under a marketing agreement with Delta Air Lines. The regional airline serves 40 cities in the western United States. Operating 51 turboprop aircraft, the airline completes over 510 flights daily.
