SKYGAS TESTS BEGIN IN ITALY

 SKYGAS TESTS BEGIN IN ITALY
SPOKANE, Wash., Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Montana Precision Mining

Ltd. (NASDAQ: MPML) along with partners, Smogless S.p.A., Milan, Italy and Xytel Technologies, Mt. Prospect, Ill., announced today that construction of the commercial demonstration Skygas facility in Italy has been completed. Formal testing and debugging was initiated on Jan. 17 by feeding power to the primary reactor electrodes.
According to Gilberto Cominetta, president of Smogless S.p.A., both manual and automatic control of the electrodes have checked out satisfactorily. "The computer control system appears to be doing a good job," said Cominetta. "Over the next few days, we are going to run steam through the system to make sure there are no leaks and to verify that all sensors and instruments are working properly. If all goes well, we plan to start feeding refuse-derived fuel (RDF) pellets and sewage sludge in early February," he said.
While expressing excitement at the start of the Skygas test program, Serge Randhava of Xytel Technologies advised caution. "We are at a very critical juncture now and the next 8-12 weeks will tell a lot," Randhava said. "Mechanical problems don't worry me. Those things can always be fixed. At this time, all we want to prove is that we can initiate and sustain a photo-electrokinetic reaction in the primary," he explained.
A.C. Lewis, inventor of the Skygas process, is expected to leave for Italy shortly so that he can assist in the forthcoming live tests.
