Sixkissesforsara raced to the early lead, set a deliberate pace under Brice Blanc and held off Vielle vielle (vyĕl), bowed string instrument used throughout Europe from the 13th cent. through the 15th cent. Desormeaux (born February 27, 1970, in Maurice, Vermilion Parish, Louisiana) is an American thoroughbred horse racing Hall of Fame jockey who holds the U.S. record for most races won in a single year. , finished second and paid $3.20 and $2.60. It was a nose back to Dynatar, Laffit Pincay Jr. riding, and a $2.40 show payoff.

Medino Bay and Light Music completed the order of finish.

Sixkissesforsara went to the lead at once, set the pace through fractions of :23.78, :48.38 and 1:12.66. She entered the stretch with a 1 1/2-length lead over Vielle Rose and was all out to keep a head in front in the sprint to the wire.
