Lee Special to the Daily News PALMDALE - If one Ramirez on the Highland High cross country team was not enough for its Golden League opponents to handle, now there are two. Junior Danielle Ramirez has joined her sister Cassie, a senior, for her first year of cross country. The sisters have been the Bulldogs' top two runners this season. Cassie, the 1999 Golden League champion, has been well known in the Antelope Valley This article is about the Los Angeles County region. Danielle has made her name as a tennis player at Highland. The third- year player has moved into the Bulldogs' No. 1 singles spot this fall. She started running the 1,600 meters during track season to get into shape for tennis and continued through the summer.
