``It's not your basic Antelope Valley menu,'' said Rose Dispenza, a benefit organizer who sat down with Ron Decasas, owner of Lonnie & Co. catering, to plan the meal.

Intended to buy cars and radios for the sheriff's volunteer citizen patrol, the concert at 8 p.m. Saturday is expected to draw 2,800 to 3,000 people, fewer than the original plans to seat 3,500, city special events manager Steve Buffalo said.

But he said tickets are selling strongly this week.

``The ticket sales really picked up this week and we've been getting a lot of telephone calls,'' he said.

Tickets at $25 and $20 remain on sale from noon to 7 p.m. today and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Antelope Valley Mall The Antelope Valley Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in Palmdale, California.

The $50 seats sold out weeks ago, except for a few returned when people traded up to the dinner tickets, he said. Those resold almost immediately.

A few dinner tickets are also available, but people should call the sheriff's office today to reserve them, Buffalo said.
