SIMI VALLEY - A U.S. Postal Service official urged Simi Valley residents Thursday not to deposit letters in overstuffed mailboxes A simulated mailbox on disk that holds incoming electronic mail. in the wake of a case in which officials suspect mail may have been stolen.

Terry Bouffiou said U.S. postal inspectors are investigating whether a mailbox outside the post office on Galena galena (gəlē`nə) or lead glance, lustrous, blue-gray mineral crystallizing usually in cubes, sometimes in octahedrons. It is the most important ore and the principal source of lead. Street was rigged to give thieves access to letters. Bouffiou said the Postal Service has received several calls from residents complaining that their mail was not being delivered after being dropped in the mailbox.

In a step to calm public anxiety, the post office is emptying mail boxes outside the facility more frequently on Sundays.
