The department currently has over 120 sworn officers, and more than 65 support personnel[1]. The department has a patrol area that covers over 39 square miles. is now accepting applications for the next Community Emergency Response Team training course. The course consists of six training classes on Aug. 1, 13, 20 and 27 and Sept. 3 and 13. The first five classes are from 7 to 10 p.m. at the department headquarters, 3200 Cochran St. Other classes will be at the Ventura County Regional Fire Training Center in Camarillo.
