SIMI VALLEY: BRIEFLY : 2 L.A. COUNTY MEN HELD IN POT CASE.

2 fires stall traffic on Conejo Grade

Two vehicle fires clogged traffic Saturday morning near the Conejo Grade on the Ventura Freeway The Ventura Freeway is a freeway in southern California running from Ventura to Pasadena. It is the principal east-west route through Ventura County and in the southern San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County. , police said.

At about 9:38 a.m. a motor vehicle caught fire while climbing the grade in the southbound lane. The Ventura County Fire Department Not to be confused with Ventura Fire Department.

The Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD) provides fire protection and emergency response services for the unincorporated areas of Ventura County, California, and for six other cities within the county.

At about 10:08 a.m., a pickup truck, traveling north downhill, caught fire at the bottom of the grade.

The Conejo Grade lies between Camarillo and Newbury Park.
